I'm trying to install my firewall cover, and have NPD p/n 377347-SA firewall retainers, and I can't see how they should hold onto the firewall. They have a set of barbs, but they are located such that they only grip the firewall cover, then just have a straight shaft to go into the firewall. Anybody have experience with these? Are you supposed to crush/bend them once they are through the firewall?
Thanks
Brian

Re: Firewall cover push pins
they have to go in far enough so that the barb holds the cover super tight to the firewall.

Re: Firewall cover push pins
I didn't even use them. The emergency break, steering column, heater and everything else locked it on pretty good. I had to trim extra around the column, pedals and emergency break. Start on the drivers side and you might not have to trim like me.
