bedliner and sound proofing
Hey Guys I am thinking of putting bedliner for the floor covering but is there a way I can do that and block sound out?

Re: bedliner and sound proofing
I did that in the cab of my truck. I used a spray putty gun ( 2.5 mm. nozzle) that layed it out nicely, not very lumpy. I did it for protection against water leaks and sound proofing. I did put carpet over it.The next thing I am going to do is put inner fender skirts out of a 73 in the wheel house. This should stop the water and dirt from spraying the firewall (making it quietter hopefully). Hope this helps.

I will recommend the lizard skin stuff. My brother, and i bout the bucket and spray gun then shot the inside of his 89 250 diesel. It is easy to spray lays nice and cleans up with water. Now if you don't have a compressor then bed liner it but the lizard skin was good from my experience..

Re: bedliner and sound proofing
I think the common consensus is that bed liner material is a good place to start but it's not terribly effective by itself at dampening noise. It makes a good platform upon which to stack Dynamat or something of that nature. User Robroy has a good thread detailing his installation of Zilla Mat:
