Door identification for anti rattle kits
I want to get new anti rattle kits for my replacement doors and after reading a few posts I see that the rubber and felt are not interchangeable. So how do I know which year of doors that I have? The vehicle ID plate looks like it may have been taken from another truck so I don't want to trust that. The drivers door has the vinyl covered cardboard (Ranger?) insert and the passenger has standard metal. The second part of my question is how to remove the arm rests without tearing them up?

As another potential ID trait the drivers door has only lower "chrome" trim and the passenger has lower and bump trim. When it quits raining I will get some pictures if that helps.

The arm rests are removed using a deep socket, 3/8" if I recall correctly. The bolts are accessed through holes in the underside of the armrests. I can't help you too much with ID'ing the door for the proper window rattle kit, but I would go with rubber on the outside if possible.
