67 AM radio speaker

Post by Sbairboy »

can anyone tell me whether the original AM Radio speaker under the dash on a 67 is 4 ohm or 8 ohm?....we're searching for a suitable replacement speaker to use so if anyone has any suggestions we'd appreciate it....

:yt: 1972-later Ford radios/speakers are 3.2 ohms while '71-earlier versions are 8 ohm (for all Ford product models). The later radios with the 3.2 ohm speaker output impedance all have a D2 part number.

It's an old post but......................I just did a large amount of reseach to find the only place that had a suitable replacement for my original 1968 speaker. So, I'm trying to help save others some time. :help:

You must use 8 ohm speakers with the original Bendix Model = 8TBTLM or 8TBTL AM Radio

Good Bendix radio reference site: http://www.bendixradiofoundation.com/do ... usList.pdf
