Re: Wanted - 390 Flex Plate and radiator
The flex plate is the one between the engine and tranny right? I know it is a stupid question but wanted to make sure. I think I still have one from a 352 that I bought. They should be the same as far as I know. I don't have bolts though or inspection cover. I will look tonight.

Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?

A flex plate is like a flywheel for a automatic transmission.towtruckerfour wrote:The flex plate is the one between the engine and tranny right? You do realize there are quite a few more years that will work, right?davbell22602 wrote:I'm also looking for 73-76 steering gearbox and automatic steering column for power steering conversion on a 67F100.
Check out the tutorial here on the site: http://www.fordification.com/tech/powersteering.htm
Best thing would be to find a donor truck, and you might also think about a disc brake upgrade at the same time, since you may have to swap out some linkage components (depending upon the year of the donor you find).

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leak That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

Re: Wanted - 390 Flex Plate and radiator
If can you find a donor truck here in northern va than let me know where its at then. I cant find anything local for my 67F100. Everybody scraps anything around here. Too many junk dealers in my area. But will a spoke wheel fit a 73-79 column?70_F100 wrote:You do realize there are quite a few more years that will work, right?davbell22602 wrote:I'm also looking for 73-76 steering gearbox and automatic steering column for power steering conversion on a 67F100.

Plenty of them around here, but I don't know about VA.
Will the wheel fit? Lots of discussion here: http://www.fordification.com/tech/tilt.htm
