Door sill plate interchangibility
Hey guys, I'm about to replace my door weatherstripping and I am missing both sill plates. PO must have misplaced them somewhere...
My question is can I use the sill plates from a 73-79 in my 67? I can get a good deal on some rather than buy new ones for the 67.Are the 73-79 sill plates the same lengthand shape as our 67-72's? Thanks guys in advance.

Anybody got an idea? Are the sills the same length? Part #s are different in catalogs but look identical.......... Any help is appreciated!

Re: Door sill plate interchangibility
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they will work, but I think there were minor differences.
It may have had something to do with the location of the screwhole in the kick panels.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

If I remember right
I think the difference is where it goes up the side of the kick panel. One goes up a little farther than the other. I think the dentside is shorter on the kick panel, but they will work. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the insight guys. I think I will go for the dentside sills since I can get them for a 1/4 of the price of new 67's...
