Insterment panel
Ok my current insterment panel only has a speedo, fuel, and water temp gauges. Can I just add the other gauges ( oil and volts) to my current panel or do I need a new one. In other words can I just buy the gauges and add them to what I have.

Re: Insterment panel
Could use a hand.
I'm on the Road and working on a project for my old ford in my spare time but need a measurement
I need to know the Measurement of the center Plexiglass in the instrument panel (preferably one from a One hole Panel as opposed to the one that is divided up ) just need to know the size of the viewing area in Rectangular shape).
Best Regards

Re: Insterment panel
In regards to your instrument panel. I took the gauges out of my 71 panel and put them into my 69 panel. The spots are there to put the gauges in so cleaned it up and painted the needles and bolted them in. You just have to make sure you insulate the terminals. My plan was to run seperate wires to the terminals on the gauges. You just need to find the sending unit for the oil gauge that corresponds to the gauge. as far as the volt meter i'm not sure where to hook that in but again you have the terminals on the back so when you find where to tap in to the wires you just run seperate wires. good luck

Ok. I measured my panel. The opening measures 12 11/16 x 3 1/16 And the glass measures 4 1/4 x 14 9/16. This from a panel in a 71 xlt ranger
