DIY upholstery

Finally got the 69 seat recovered. Bought the supplies and gave it a try. Everything replaced, webbing, burlap, foam, batting and cover. Also had to weld a couple of springs that were broke. I thought it turned out well considering to be a first timer in upholstery work. Have a couple of minor wrinkles but i guess that is to be expected. Got some good tips from some guys on this site. Thanks guys.

Looks great! Mind sharing your sources and costs. I am in need of either a replacement new seat or a redo so the sources would be handy.

1 A Auto.com (for seat upholstery), DIY upholstery supply.com (for webbing,batting,hog rings,burlap and foam) Hog rings come with upholstery but i ordered more from DIY. I should have purchased hog ring pliers. The one that comes with seat cover are the cheapest thing they can find. they got the job done but would have been easier with better set. I believe i had around $280.00 in seat supplies. The shops around here wanted $500 to $800. I'm pleased with the upholstery that came from DIY

Thanks for the information. I really do like your seat, it does look like a professional did the work. Not sure I am up to doing that quality of work, but I might try.
