Door Latch

Post by basshound71 »

I have been looking for a passenger side door latch as the springs are broken in mine but seem to be unable to find one for my truck. Truck is a 1971 f100. I have looked through most of the catalogs but am not seeing any for my year

Unless I'm mistaken, and I could be, I think '68-72 are all the same. Only the '67 is unique. Post in the parts wanted section, pic if you have one, and you'll probably find one. Inner or outer latch? Some of the guys here have a great selection of parts.

No problem. Got a pretty good Advanced Search function up there in the top right corner, too.

Nope, they don't have it for 71. I think in NPD they call it a door latch release. They have all of the other years just not 67-72.

Also Green Sales and Miller Obsolete, according to this parts locator... http://www.rearcounter.com/C8TZ-8121812 ... 55765.html Looks like Green has 10 so probably has a better price. I've bought from them before. Good people and know their parts.

:yt:

Miller Obsolete is the seller in the second link I posted. They pretty much think all of their stuff is solid gold.

Green Sales usually has some GREAT pricing, and like you said, they're good people and know their parts well!! (Best to have a part number when you call, but not required)
