tilt column trim

Post by Joshpow »

I have a lil infor for the tilt install guys. If you use the 78/9 tilt heres a lil idea for the lower trim. It is a modified 84 f150 piece. think year range is 80-86 maybe. Im sure others will work. I got it for $5 and did little cutting with a razor knife and heres the result. think it fits rather nicely. Thought maybe itd be a help to the guys running no trim or trying the 78/9 piece. Let me know what you guys think.

Oh, and forgot to mention even notched so my tach fits inside it and clamp doesnt show. Hid tach wires inside with the signal wires.

How does it attach? Or is it similar to a clam-shell design where the two halves snap together? :hmm:

it is similar it splits on bottom side and clips together with safety screw too. all under and looks good though. just rests around like the 78/9 did but doesnt have the useless rolls to match dash shape. its straight tube. not too hard to fit either. try to get pic sometime if i can.

Looks good! Don't think the average guy would pick up on it not being stock. That brake spring upgrade cracked me up. I guess we all have some of the same problems
