Are replacing the oil pans difficult? Or is it pretty much drain oil, unbolt, remove gasket, clean surface, replace gasket, bolt on, add oil?

Yup...and most likely you'll need to lift the engine off it's perches a few inches so the oil pan clears the oil pump pickup.sublimer wrote:Are replacing the oil pans difficult? Or is it pretty much drain oil, unbolt, remove gasket, clean surface, replace gasket, bolt on, add oil?

Always glad to help keep another of our trucks on the road! I crossed paths with a 69 Ranger that had a blown out rear window today in the city. Wish I woulda' had a Fordification card to throw at him!BLACKWATERFORGE on Mon Jan 16, 2012 3:06 pm
Thanks for the heads up!

I inquired. She said she'd ship it...but for another $25. Seemed pricey to me for shipping.
