Ok, just finished looking through every post in this section for anything related, and I do believe I have a new question for you folks.

67 and earlier had push/pull knobs/cables, 68 and later had the slider controls. Besides the controls themselves, are there any differences? I like the look of the push/pull since it matches everything around dash. Once I get my truck down here, I'm wanting to fill the space in the dash, and convert to the push/pull.

That would be cool. and you should install the 68-72 style knobs as a twist you can use the ones with the set screws from the wiper switches. would be fairly simple just have to weld in a plate, smooth it out paint the dash drill three holes and well you know the rest. it would give it that bronco dash look.

I plan on using the same type of switches. I am swapping in a dash from a '57 Fairlane. The dash has an area on each side of the steering wheel with 3 switches each. The left I plan on ignition, headlights, emergency flashers. Right side will be the HVAC switches with matching knobs as the other 2 switches.

controls will be the same......wiring plug won't though. I'm sure you can get around that
