Okay so I got a better picture of the molded dash cover.

Around the vents is really the only place you can tell it is a cover

Had the cover in my 71 since I painted it about 12 years ago. I am happy with it. Much happier since back then a real pad was over $500. Mine has gotten loose once but I just re-glued it. It has stayed nice and flat. Like said, around the vents you can tell it is not an original pad. Other than that you have to look real close to tell.
If I was filthy rich I'd get a real pad. I am not so like what I have

I have a cover on mine, and i wish I had the money to get a real one, The one I have on it doesn't stick well in the heat and comes up.
I wish I could have done without a pad, but the guy before me hacked up the dash to put speakers in.,

Your not alone with a hacked up dash from PO. What were they thinking.

I have a cover on both of my 67s and love them for the money.
Not perfect but a lot better than all of those cracks showing.
