Looking for 1/2 ton Dana rear axle

Post by Art »

Looking for a 5-lug Dana rear axle for a 1/2 ton bumpside (67-72) truck.

Dana 44 or Dana 60 doesn't matter - I am really trying to get the housing ends, brakes, and axleshafts to create a Dana 61-3...

Thanks,

Art ,
I have a dana 60 for a f100 ,5 hole rims. Its from a 65 ,so Im not sure if that will work for you. Also have a ford 9in from a 72 with 3.5 gears ,non posi , I dont think that will be of interest to you . If the dana will work ,I will check it out ,gears ,posi or not etc.....If its a trac or power loc it will be pricey, unless you don't need the carrier.Let me know the splines you need for the axles......Regards,Rich...

Rich,
Thanks for the reply.
Where are you located at?
I don't need the carrier and am looking for 30 splines.
Thanks,

Art ,
Im in St George UT, I used to live in MI that is why my cell is still 616. I double checked the rear ,its a 44 posi with 3.54 gears.
The rear end is still attached to the frame complete with brakes . I have not opened it up to check the splines ,Im going to assume they are 30s for the moment. Let me know all parts you need from the rear end. Regards,Rich
