I have a 69 f100 that I'm having problems making the horn work. someone converted it to C6 auto and p/s. I'm not sure what year the column is out of, when I took off the center nut for the steering wheel the column exploded. I have since replaced the bearings and installed the square head bolts that were missing. when I go to install the adapter for the grant steering wheel, the piece that holds the horn brush is too tall and will not let the steering wheel go on completely. on the old switch it was broken off, now I'm not sure if it is the right turn signal switch or the wrong adapter. the column may be out of a earlier model because the directional lever has a 1965 style knob on it. please any help would be appreciated.
thank you
