Overdrive?

My 68 came with a 3 speed overdrive with a 3 on the tree. It was converted to a floor shift for some unknown reason but the overdrive was taken off. I'm wanting to hook the overdrive back up, but there's one problem. I'm not exactly sure where the overdrive hooks up. If you could show a picture or somehow describe where it would be and what it looks like that would be great.

I have a '68 that originally had the 3 on the tree and overdrive. I hear the column shifter bushings wear out and are hard to find. The previous owners changed it to a floor shift. Takes a little getting used to. Does yours roll in any gear other than reverse when parked? I'll see if I can get some pics of mine for you.

I don't think it rolls in any gears, including reverse.

Actually, i just checked, it rolls forward in reverse, not backwards though.
