T-5 Swap

Post by mattr67 »

I have a 67 F100 2wd swb with a 240ci and a c-4 but i want to do a t5 out of a mustang swap, has anybody done this in these trucks? From what I've read I'll need a zero balanced flywheel and will i have an issue with the shifter location? thanks

Are you going to run a cable clutch? thats what I did in my 37 ford truck. The t-5 shifter will come up pretty close to the seat. I'm pretty sure the 6 and the v8 have the same bell housing I know the 300 does. You might want to look at a a b&m ripper shifter it lets you reverse the shift lever thats what is on the t-45 I just bought. t-45 and t-5 share the same shifter. Here is where the t-45 comes up in a f-100Image

Image The part with the button head screws can be flipped to move it forward. Somebody also sells a swan neck shifter for the t-5 I had one for mine but tranny broke before i could put it on now the 37 has a tremec tko500 in it.

Thanks, I planned on using a mustang clutch pedal assy. and using the Clutch cable. But now I'm debating just doing a 460/c6 swap instead, but if i keep the 240 I'll look at getting the b&m
