400 flywheel?

Post by snake »

I know the bellhousing bolt pattern on the 351/400M engines isn't the same as the other ford small blocks but I'm struggling to verify if the flywheel is the same. Can somone shed some light on that for me?? Basically i need to know if a 302/351w/351C flywheel will work on a 400M.

Thanks

Nope. You have to stay with 351m or 400.

Be careful, 351M and 400's use different flywheel clutches. The 351M is 11" the 400 is 12""
