A/C

Post by Mancar1 »

Finally got around to getting the 68's A/C up and going. Original owner never had it charged back up when he had the 390 rebuilt back in the mid 70's. He just took the belt off and disconnected the power to the unit. I hooked it back up, took it in for a leak test, had a couple cans of R-12 put in and it has been working great. Makes me cool and happy.

Glad to see you back here man-and that you got AC now in the bump.
Now...how's that new lady friend doing!? Was she the inspiration for the AC?
Was your Escape affected by the recall, can't remember which year you had?

Wow thats great it went back together so easily, some people really have a uphill battle getting those old systems to work right again.

Do you get any loss in acceleration due to the AC load? I am running a cabover and was wondering if my AC would affect my acceleration.
