Painted Gauge Cluster

Post by rcrodriguezgar »

I took the Gauge Cluster out and repainted it. I also took the woodgrain look off and installed a carbon fiber look to it. I got everything at auto zone.
Things I use:
Chrome spray paint
Black spray paint
600 grit sandpaper
Carbon Fiber vinyle sticker

Looks good. Are you rocking the No dash pad permanently?

awesome idea. I was just thinking about repainting mine today, but never thought of the carbor fiber look. I think i might paint the FORD letters red though, not sure how that would look.

What kind of carbon fiber material did you use? I just tried to copy your dash, and had the autozone sticker type carbor fiber. it is impossible to lay that stuff flat, it turned out horrible i had to scrap the whole idea.

I'm considering doing my door panels in the carbon fiber look and found this http://dragonplate.com/ecart/categories.asp?cID=72&p=2

I just use that one at autozone and was very careful with it and took my time.
