Arm rest install
Hey Y`all, I`m gonna install an L M C repro arm rest on the driver side of my plain jane `67. Any tips?, or should I just go for it, drill holes where I think it should go? I don`t know how many times I`ve leaned for it and almost fallen between the door and the seat
I love the smell of an old truck in the morning.

re: Arm rest install
I used a '67 door for a replacement on my '69 f100, and that '67 door panel has NO holes except the window crank and door handle holes. I'll be facing this same problem soon. I was just going to mark the holes using the existing doors in the door itself.
But, you know, if there are no pre-drilled holes on our door panels, we are able to place that armrest almost anywhere we want to on that door panel. I think the factory location looks a bit akward, like, too close to the body.

OK if your 67 passenger side door didnt have holes for a armrest, I would do some kind of reinforcement behind the panel....

The door itself should have the holes for the attachnent hardware already. You could either drill the holes in your door panel or locate one that already has the holes. More use of the information here.

I hope that armrest fits properly. Some folks here have had problems with LMC's armrests. Good luck!

re: Arm rest install
is there another place to get a good-looking armrest for a 67? I only need 1. I guess the parts wanted forum, but anywhere else?

67's armrests are difficult to find - encourage you to scour the boneyards for pieces like that.
