wtb Ranger tailgate panel

Post by thomastedder »

I'm looking for the ranger tailgate panel that is silver, not wood grain. The 70-72 Ranger panel is much taller than the one offered by LMC.

I know it's rare, but I'm hoping to get lucky.

I'm also willing to do some work on one if its not in great shape.

I am willing to pay SEVERAL HUNDRED $$$$ for one and $400-$500 for NOS. Could allow you to buy a nice Christmas present for someone special.

NOS Ranger panels are pretty hard to come by. I've only seen one in the past five years.

Here's the 68-69 Ranger tailgate trim. I pulled one out of a lake in Florida on a cleanup a few years back.

I think I have one. Here are some pictures. Mine has the woodgrain that is faded. Has some damage. Good Luck.

That is a Ranger XLT panel. The non-XLT panel does not have the woodgrain.

Good luck. I tried for a few years to find a nice one to go on my 69 ranger tailgate before I had truck painted, but no luck. So I just stuck with the correct 69 ranger panel. I like the looks of the 70-72 ranger panel better. Also would have used the woodgrain XLT panel, but all them was junk that I found. Again GOOD LUCK.

That's not the 70-72 Ranger panel. That is the 68-69 ranger one that I have on my 69. It is reproduced. The 70-72 ranger panel isn't reproduced. The one you posted was used on the very early 70s model, but changed to a wider filler panel. The wider, later version is what the original poster and I was looking for.

Yea, Like I said I wanted to change mine and looked for about 3 years with no luck. Found a couple pieces of junk that was not even worth taken off a tailgate and people want top dollar for them. I would not have put them on my truck if they were given to me. So I just settled for the correct year piece :( Bobby want to sale yours

Mine has been safely tucked away in the closet since I bought it. I don't even remember what I paid for it. I think $250.
If I ever get my truck finished, it'll have a home.
