I have a 1997 Ford Expedition 4x4. The tranny was replaced a few years ago. I am trying to find out what tranny is in my vehicle. The ID codes on the tag are as follows:
A287 3 4406-17
154523 F75A-CC
Also I found the following on the Bell Housing:
RF-F2TP-7A040-BA
I cannot find any other tags or info anywhere.
Thanks;

Re: Transmission ID
Hi, if it is a 5.4 engine with a towing package, my guess is that is an E4OD
if is a 4.6 it may have a 4R70w.........count the bolts in the pan ,or describe the shape of the pan.
Most likely a Ford tech will chirp in with the correct info for your F2 # .....as I am just going from memory....Donnie

Re: Transmission ID
Look on the drivers door tag/door jamb under the "Trans" heading. If the transmission code is "U" then it is a 4R70W. If it's some other code, sorry, can't help ya.

No one is going to be able to tell you what your transmission is when you post TRANSFER CASE tag numbers. We need TRANSMISSION tag numbers.I have a 1997 Ford Expedition 4x4.
