Late 70's 2WD Steering Column

Post by Corkwheats »

Hi Guys,

I have a late 70's Ford Truck 2WD Steering Column for sale, complete with steering wheel. I have never used it, and don't know much about it, so it will be sold "as is".

Here's the Scoop:
I converted my 71 Truck to a Tilt Steering Column recently, and needed the rag joint flange that goes on the end of the column. My mechanic told me about an old gentleman here locally that has old Ford Truck parts - so I contacted him. He sold me the flange on the end of the steering column - and gave me the whole steering column with it!

I was thinking about wiping it down, and putting it on E Bay, but figured somebody here may need it. I haven't ever used it, and it would be sold "as is". If anyone wants to make me an offer, then fine. I don't need it.

When I purchased mt column the shipping was approx. $30. So, keep that in mind.

Thanks,
Bob

Here are some pictures of the Steering Column. I haven't had time to clean it up yet, at all:

You can see here one little area that I wiped off - I think it will clean up okay:

Here again on the top of the Steering Wheel - I wiped it off, and it looks okay:

I'd like to get $75.00 + shipping for this. I haven't used it, so I'm selling it "as is". But, I wouldn't put it on here if I didn't think it was functional, and could do somebody some good.

I think I can figure out how to ohm out the turn signal - and will list the results, good or bad.

The steering wheel seems to rotate smoothly - I'll investigate how to double check the bushings, as well.
