2002+ F150 Seats

Post by diznasty »

A guy i work with has a set of 2004 f150 seats for sale, very cheap. He knows I'm doing a resto mod on my '69 F100. I'm thinking about purchasing the seats. Has anyone swapped this generation of seats into a '67-'73 F100? I know custom brackets need made and im not that concerned about the fabbing part. I'm just looking for ideas or pictures if anyone has done this before. Mixing of "styles" can be very tricky. I just dont want something that clashes.

Those look to be out of 2004.5-2008 F-150. I have an 06 and those seats are huge. I have the same color and everything. I never set one in my bump, but I feel they would look awkwardly overpowering in there. Also, I cannot keep them clean to save my life. Everything shows up on them, Everything...

Yeah they came from a 2004. I put them in the other day and WOW! They are way too big and basically no room for adjustment. Luckily i didnt buy them yet. The seat itself is several inches too high and the backrest is too thick. I'm 6'1" and my head was about 5 inches from the roof when i sat in them. With the tracks as far back as they could be and the seat sitting straight up i was still hugging the wheel. I had my girlfriend sit in to try it thinking it may just be my fat @$$ but it was painfully clear they werent going to work. Kinda bummed because you can't beat the deal.
