I've done more to it in the past two months than I did all of last year.

Looking good ezernut! What all did you do to get it as low as you did? How many coils?
Marz, is that thing 4WD?! If not, you should think about gettin' that thing DOWN...
Looks great man!

two coils in front and the hanger flip in back. i think i'm gonna add some lowering shackles to get two more inches.

Don´t you have any trouble with the pinion angle? I did this with mine and the pinion angle was incorrect, thus the differential was giving me some noise. Had to go back and unflipped the hanger again. Someone suggest me that need to cut a bit the cardan shaft, um not sure to do this.ezernut9mm wrote:two coils in front and the hanger flip in back. i think i'm gonna add some lowering shackles to get two more inches.

when i install the lowering shackles in the rear it will level out the diff again. you can buy pinion angle shims for about 20$. i had to shim the pinion on the 68i lowered. this one isn't correct, but it hasn't given me any trouble yet....yet.Dr Casti wrote:Don´t you have any trouble with the pinion angle? Yeah, I put 4 degree shims on the leaf spring saddles to get the proper angle back when I flipped my hangers.
Ezer, can the DJM lowering shackles be used on the Flexomatics?

nope. at least not that i know of. the spring is too long. finding a non flexo main spring should be pretty easy.

I have the FOM rear springs and the DJM shackles and front spring hangers worked fine.

My truck is the Orange and White truck on page 76 of this forum. I was also concerned about the longer spring but after some research and test fitting it worked fine.

My truck is in storage for the winter months I will see what can dig up, but had to remove everything from the rear spring eye and install the DJM shackle. There are other trucks on this site that have the same set up.ezernut9mm wrote:i'd like to see pics. not because i don't believe you, but because i don't see how it would work.
