1972 f250 Rear View Mirror Options
Are there any non windshield options for rear view mirrors from other trucks? I really don't want to attach mine to the mirror and was wondering if anybody used one from another year car/truck that attached to the headliner..

I believe the 1967 models incorporate the sun visor clip and mirror mount into the headliner trim. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem ... 5914569291

Great! Post some pics when you get it installed for the rest of us.
Edit: I was probably wrong about the sun visor clearance issue so I removed my comment. Details 2/3 down the page http://www.fordification.com/tech/67-72ID_01.htm

Here's one I pulled from a 1967 F100, installed in the work truck, a 1971 F100.
The 3 screws that hold it to the windsheild frame are unique, have a small head to fit into the bracket. You'll need to drill 2 holes, a 3rd hole will line up.
The mirror head on the '67 is narrower than the '72, the '72 sunvisors should fit around it.
If you need a replacement mirror head in chrome, I'm pretty sure one from a 1965 Mustang will fit.
