Dash color preference
I have a black dash in my '69, but the rest of the interior is parchment. Were all stock dashes black or were some matched to the interior color? Thoughts on redoing mine in parchment? I think it would look better, but not sure if it would be too reflective while driving. Anyone have a light color dash?

Re: Dash color preference
My truck is Boxwood Green and Wimbledon White below the "bump" and on the roof. My whole interior is Boxwood green, including the metal dash. The gauge cluster is white plastic. I think all dashes were painted like the rest of the interior from factory.

Re: Dash color preference
Thanks for the reply, sounds like we have nearly identical color schemes inside and out. I am almost positive my truck has had no interior changes before me, but there it is with a black dash.
Do you have any good photos of your interior? Sounds like a beauty!
I think I will do my dash pad in off-white/ parchment using the same color as the new seat vinyl.

Re: Dash color preference
Yes, I have a few good ones I took before I made some "improvements" that have yet to be completed ( minor rust repair took priority). I will try and post them tomorrow. I apologize for the late reply too. Like I said I don't think there were any trucks made originally with a black dash. I could be wrong though. The only real way to tell is to see if there is any underlying paint showing through on a chip or scratch, then you'd know it was repainted for sure.
Just to clarify, do you mean the dash pad or the actual dash panel? I re-read your post and I think I may have misinterpreted it. If you mean the dash pad then all were black. The reproductions they sell are also all black. Its the dash panel/glovebox that matches whatever interior truck colors you have.

Re: Dash color preference
Here's the picture of my dash. This is right after I got the truck so everything is original still. Sometimes I wish it was that way now but in the near future it will look just as good after all my work is done.
