3 speed column shifter conversion kit advice

Post by grandpas f250 »

My truck had 3 speed column shifter and has been converted to the floor. I have issues with getting stuck in gear and sometimes hard to get in gear. The conversion kit seems to be low end. I have found a high end ($275) conversion kit "Hurst Indy shifter. I was wondering if anyone had knowledge or experience with this kit, or had advice on other kits that would work.

The only advice I have is negative advice on the Mr. Gasket "universal" shifter at your local parts store. I went through 2 of them in 3 years. They don't hold up well. I finally rebuilt my column to get my column shift back in good shape. Not difficult or expensive to do.
