I need the gear selector track that bolts on to the back of the tube flange on an automatic, column shift (C6) transmission. The one I have is cracked and as a result will drop into L2 from Drive because the weight of the shift lever and the cracked track allow it to drop. Getting tougher to positively be in any gear, and holding the shift lever while I try and drive a no power nothing truck is getting really old. None of our regular suppliers seems to have the part I need so I'm asking for help from my fordification brothers on this one. The track screws unto the back of the flange tube with two very small screws and serves the same purpose as the tracks on older floor shift autos that had an S pattern. I can't afford an aftermarket steering column and I don't like the way they look anyway so I want to stay stock. I have other tube flanges (no track, damn) and shift collars to trade (I can even powder coat them if you like.)
Thanks in advance. Take care,
Joe
