Re: trans and diff fluid?
this is what i use. http://www.superoilcentral.com/gear-lub ... -lube.html
it's amsoil 80w90
i don't know that i would highly reccomend it. it's just what i use. about 15,000 miles on both lube changes and no discoloration or darkening of fluid thus far.
i have the 3.03 manual transmission/ 3 speed column transmission by the way. rear diff and transmission are using the same amsoil fluid

3spd with overdrive requires 40W non-detergent
I'm throwing this in here just to make sure a future search yields an answer for somebody.
The Borg Warner 3spd-OD requires 4 pints (2 qts) of 40W NON-DETERGENT oil in the front case, and 2 pints of 40W Non-Detergent in the back case (they are filled and emptied separately although there are air passages between them). The Borg Warner overdrive manual specifically states, in CAPITALIZED BOLD LETTERS not to use hypoid oil "under any circumstances".

Re: trans and diff fluid?
Same trans/diff. I just used the Valvoline eqiuv. That's the Ford 3.03 though, not the Borg Warner.hedz wrote:this is what i use. http://www.superoilcentral.com/gear-lub ... -lube.html
