I got a 69 f100 with the 360 and c6 trans.
Im gonna be taking trans out to put a Hughes 2000-2400 Stall Converter in.... Whats a good kit to rebuild/Freshen/shift kit up the c6??
since it will be out might as well clean it up inside and make her almost new.
Thanks
C6 Freshen/Rebuild

Re: C6 Freshen/Rebuild
I like Transtec for : paper, rubber, rings, & seals...Borg Warner & Raybestos for clutches & band..
This is all available in a Transtar kit.......There are others too, Toledo Trans kit is also good, Precision International is another..
I'm not sure if any of these supplier's will sell to the general public, but a lot of on line resellers can supply you with these parts.
If you are buying on line, ask the seller whose parts are available from them....This is only my preference, others may have their own opinion.
For a valve body kit..when I was building, I mostly used Transgo "Shift kit".....although Superior kit's are easier to install, I like the way
Transgo kits work......I am to assume that you are building a street machine & just want a little more punch.
If you are building a drag ride, there are some changes that are available,,E4OD gears for a gear change, not worth the expense in my opinion...other friction material suppliers, etc........Donnie
