Just curious if anyibe has done this?
My 3 speed has been converted to the floor and uses a linkage setup.
Would the 4 speed bolt right in place of the 3 speed? Cross member differences? Drive shaft differences?
Any help would be appreciated. Got a new motor waiting to go in and would like to ditch the 3 speed if possible
3 speed to 4 speed swap possible?

Re: 3 speed to 4 speed swap possible?
You could run into a few small things, but if you use a four speed that was originally available in these trucks it should be pretty straightforward. When I changed from "Three On the Tree" to "Four On the Floor", I had to drill one more hole in my right side frame rail to allow me to move the crossmember back about 1 inch or so. Other than that, for my truck anyway, it was a bolt in.
You'll more than likely have to shorten or use a different driveshaft.
