im building a trail rig and want know know what "junkyard" leafs i can use. i want good flex and be able to support a 1000lb diesel motor in the front.
as of now, i have 7" shackles in front, custom drop front hanger (about 3") and shackle is gonna get moved forward alittle and layed out
rear has ruffstuff shackle flip with layed out 7" shackles and no blocks
running 37's with 3" body leaf and i would like to remove that if i can

Re: Best junkyard leaf springs for my setup?
Like what was said on pirate the f250 rears might not be that bad mine was a mix of f250 main with f150/bronco/f250 mixed for my disiered lift/ flexeness. If i would have kept the leaf setup I was thinking about trying a f350 main out of an obs truck and mixing and matching. And they do die over time, and a big one get the front shock towers out of an mid 80's to 96 so you can use a eyelet stile shock.
to show they do die with lots of flex this is over a couple year progression.
Every inch of a 14" travel shock
and not exactly 67-72 f250 chassis but they are 37 and it is a 67 with those leafs with a 460

Whats the length of the OBS rear springs? Eye to eye? Or are you still running the highboy main leaf?
