I know I've been down this road before. Just want to clarify before I start in. Here's the project I'm taking the complete rear end leaving leafs. The donor truck is a 1973 F-250 the recipient truck is my 1969 F-250. My research tell me the 73 is 4 " wider that the 69 so I have to move the leaf perches in 2" on each side. Wondering if I also need to move the shock mounts. Maybe there is a link to someone who has done this. I don't want to just change the guts the 73 is a posi all set up don't want the hassle.
Also do you have to pull the axles on the 73 to remove the rear drums? One other thing will I need to alter my drive line. Sorry about the double post don't know what happened.THX David
Yep, all the Dana full floaters require you pull the shafts to pull the drums.
Ford never offered a posi-trac, that's a Chevy option.
