Transmission fluid
Hi there. I am new to this forum, and a new owner of a beautiful (to me at least) 1972 F250. It has a V8 360 engine, with a 4 speed Warner T-18 transmission. I need to add fluid, but nobody seems to know which fluid I need, and I've heard that it needs to be the specific one. Does anybody know which kind I need? Thank you!

Re: Transmission fluid
"An 80W-90, API-GL5 or MT-1 rated fluid is very good. Some claim faster shifts from using a 50W engine oil in their transmission and we do not consider this to be contraindicated unless you operate your vehicle in a very warm environment."
