Drive shaft

I swapped out the old 302 and c4 for a 400 and a c6. The drive shaft out of the old 78 donner 400 and c6 is too long. is here on that fits in or do I have to get one made 2 inches shorter?

It can be shortened. Here's a pretty good write-up with pics. http://www.fordmuscleforums.com/transmi ... shaft.html. My driveshaft had to be shortened to accommodate the np435.
