1975 ish F-100 4x4 header issue?
So I almost have my 1969 F-100 back on the road. It's sitting on a 1975 ish frame (I should really really find the vin and figure out what it is) with a 390/c6/205 set up. My question is that my headers point right at the crossmember, is this normal? As of right now I would have to run the exhaust under the crossmember. Is there a difference in fe 4x4 headers? Maybe these are meant for a 3/4 ton?
Honestly, I really would rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy.

I'm now thinking it is normal. I was looking through here and found some pics of 4x4's with headers and they look like mine. If anyone has pictures of their 1/2 ton 4x4 with headers and their exhaust system that would be awesome!!
Thanks!
Thanks!

It seems to me I remember reading that bump side beds don't line up with the bed mounts on a dent side frame. Is that correct and if so did you modify the frame mounts to fit the bed?
I've considered doing the same with my 72.
Thanks,
Brett

This truck has a body lift so the lifting brackets for the bed make it easy to line up. The bed is still gapped away from the cab a bit more than factory but if you didn't know you couldn't tell. The last truck I did the swap on didn't have a body lift so the bed didn't sit right on the frame and angled toward the cab.

Any luck on the pics guys? I'm facing the same issue with my '69 F100 4x4 frame with 360 and Flowtech headers. Would like to see how others dealt with a similar issue

Apologies for the month + response but I finally got the pics

I think this is what you're talking about?
Drivers Side

Passenger Side
http://s802.photobucket.com/user/ThinL1 ... 6.jpg.html][/URL
On the driver's side they go behind the engine mount, and on the passenger's side the back half goes behind and the front half goes under.
Hope this helps.

Re: 1975 ish F-100 4x4 header issue?
All the headers I have looked into come in 2wd or 4wd, Lots of times they will not say right up front but if you dig into it a bit they tell you.
