ANybody dealt with these guys?
Was looking around on ebay and found a listing for the clutch setup on our trucks for what seems like a very good deal.
Has anybody dealt with these people before?
They are Fort Wayne Clutch and Driveline from Fort Wayne Indiana of course.
The price they were qouting for a complete clutch setup of the pressure plate, clutch disk, throwout bearing, bushing and alignment tool was for $40 plus 16 dollars to ship it to me.
What do you guys think?

I would recheck that. Or either they are selling crap. My clutch kit was like $200 for all that.

$40 for a whole kit?
That doesn't sound right, do they want a core?
Where's it made (Korea, Brazil, Vietnam, Pakistan, China).
Sounds to me like a forced labor camp special!
It could be a stocklift or distressed buyout.
What kind of warranty do they provide, thats a very important aspect.
Do they stand behind their product?

I have heard that you can go either way, as long as you replace it as an assembly.spartman wrote:Might just give them a try.
Now to the next question.
Long style or diaphram style pressure plate?
I think the long style is original to our trucks, though.

re: ANybody dealt with these guys?
FYI: Diaphram style = smoother transition/pedal feel (due to Lighter Duty springs).
"3" finger style = greater tension/stiffer pedal feel (due to HD springs).
Make sure that the Throwout bearing is a Timken, SKF, etc.
It sucks to pull the tranny again just to replace the T/O bearing!:x

re: ANybody dealt with these guys?
Or the pressure plate because of broken springs (under warranty doesn't matter, it still sucks )
