Fronts but also interested if rear is a bolt in because I have a lead on a set for cheap.
I want a more modern axle but dont want to have to change gears.

I think the front axle will bolt in, but the rear may not. the frames got wider in the back half of the trucks in 73' youd have to measure spring perches to be sure.

The front Dana 44 from "76-"79 (disc brakes) will bolt into the earlier F100 4X4.
Remember to get the later diagonal track bar too.
"78-"79 have a better tierod set up and I recomend poly bushings.

Disc-equipped D44 knuckles have beefier steering arms and use tie rods with thicker shanks so grab the tie rods and drag link too.

Problem solved just picked up Dana 44 front and 9" rear complete assemblies. Still had rims and tires on them. From a 1979 f-150 for $200. They need new seals/balls joints/brakes etc.

In case you haven't figured out yet the rear is not a direct bolt in. The spring perches on the differential are mounted wider on the 73-79 rear ends. To get it to mount up you will have to cut off the spring mounts and re-weld them at the correct width. The rear ends are also wider so it will correct the narrow rear track width that these trucks have.

If the Bronco has a rear sway bar, I would be interested in buying it and the attaching hardware if it looks like this.stldesign wrote:Thanks got a lead on two axles and may have found a3rd on an f150 with front and rear maay grab both to get matching gearing.
