Here is a site I ran accross a while back with info about the relays and you can also purchase a kit from them. http://www.madelectrical.com/electrical ... ghts.shtml

I had a set of those flat lens H4 Hella lights that I scored at the wreckers installed in my '68 for over a year and never had any problems. The relays would have made them a little brighter, I guess, but they still beat the crap out of the lights on my '94.

I've never had any problem running standard Hella bulbs in any car. I don't have them in the truck yet but i ran them in a 65 mustang with no problems. If all the wiring is in good condition the standard 60/55 watt bulbs wouldn't scare me.

Knock on wood, Heep. I've had the same Hella lights since the mid 80's. I've just kept them as I got rid of the vehicles. I've been running the 80/100W. The only problem I've had was running them in my Ford. The lights started doing the blinky blink. I set up some relays and fattened up the wires. No problems since.

I just went down to LMC the other day and they don't know even a fraction of the stuff I get from this site. When I asked them what stock carb my truck takes, they looked in the catalogue, and still couldn't tell me. That's when I noticed they were looking in the Ch*vy book. Not to mention, they are out of site on prices!

I'm sorry, what was the question again?

I want to do this to my truck. What brands and part #'s do you guys recomend? I want to do the relays first and then maybe the flat head lights later. Thanks Doug.

Okay...so I've got some relays and all the stuff needed to connect them. But electricity is dumb and I don't understand how they work. Any one have a link to how these little boxes need to be wired up? :?

I ordered the ero headlights off ebay with all 3 sets of bulbs to decide what I like better. Still need to run to the auto store to pick up wire and relays for the wiring upgrade.

Redcap I'll send you a PM about a wiring diagram that Heep sent me and I'll forward it to you. Did ya play with the compressors yet?

Yup! Both EM clutches work, The cleaner one is a 9ci compressor and will be the one I'll use in the truck. Can't tell on the other one, but I'm going to hook a friend up with an onboard air system too. :D
