More fill n sand. The front hood had a collision, everywhere there was a reinforcement caused a resulting wave in the metal. Hammer and dolly sheet metal,cold shrink, Skim coat, block sand,skim coat,block sand - repeat ,repeat,repeat until you get it right.

Skim coat on top of box. It was in decent shape, I think the previous owner had a metal railing. But this is an area that is at eye level, very important to get it 100% straight, so a skim coat is the way to go.

Update:after 4 weeks of travelling, started working on the truck again.only 4 weeks left to the Atlantic Nationals .
Lowered rear suspension....not as much as i was hoping but did manage to get a full inch.
Started the install of the rear roll pan and exhaust .

Worked on upholstery and refinished the Dodge Ram wheels that will go on truck. Painted interior dash "gun metal grey" same as wheels.
Finished roll pan and sprayed quick test paint on tailgate and roll pan (base coat /clearcoat with matting agent)

Utilized a scrap Dodge Ram (2009 up) rear steel bumper. Welded the exhaust cutouts on roll pan. Utilized the ram tailpipes as well.

NICE! I really like the ram tail pipes, I thought of doing that with the rear bumper never thought about the pan, very creative. I gave up when I ran out of room in the rear with bags and sway bar and rear tank + 3" exhaust not enough real estate on my truck.
