Hello guy's,
I have an 1972 F 250 4x4 w/ a 360. I have owned this truck for 14 years now but the last 10 years it's been sitting in my barn so I pulled it out and put it in the shop. I dropped all the fluids in it and will replace them, replaced all the belts, hoses, complete tune up, rebuilt the carb, new battery cable and battery. I checked all the u joints and they look fine, brakes seem ok. I need some new exhaust which I will get install in a week or two. I will pull the front wheel bearings and check them and re pack. Oil and lube all moving parts etc.
I need the Torque values of the front and rear diff cover bolts, engine oil pan bolts etc. Seeing's how I don't have a shop manual can you guy's direct me to an online source or this information ? I also cant remember what the front and rear ends are or the transmission. I think it's identified in the VIN number ? Is this correct ??
I also put a set of Michelin XL 9:00 x 16" of her and she is sitting pretty nice now. (((old photo attached updated photo coming soon))
I tried to search this site but didn't find what I was looking for. Any help would be great !
Anything else you guy's can think of I should check out before it goes back on the back roads ?
Thanks in advance Dog_River

Re: Torques Values
The top cover on the NP 435 is aluminum and I think the T 18 is cast iron.

Re: Torques Values
This is what I generally believe as well but I swear Ive had somebody tell me a t-18 has a aluminum cover too. they may have been mixed up but since I cant verify for fact I didnt want to state that. Also, from what I have seen, the np435 stick bends to the Right, staying to the right side of the four wheel driver shifter. The T-18 bends to the left and stays on the left side of the four wheel driver shifter. This is circumstantial though as people bend sticks to suit them all the time. But in stock form this is what ive noticed.hazelnut wrote:The top cover on the NP 435 is aluminum and I think the T 18 is cast iron.
