C6 Transmission Question

I pulled my pan to fix trans oil leak. Now I have added 6 quarts back and check fluid and still have no reading o. The dip stick I check the level when adding but once I start the truck it shows no fluid. Should I add more ?

Yes. Trans will take up to 14 quarts if the torque converter is empty. Also run it through the gears without moving to make sure it engages. Sometimes fresh clean fluid isn't easily seen. I would go 1 quart at a time, run the gears then check again.

Okay thank you. I have not try running the gears but I did read that somewhere else as well.

Just let it idle till it engages and don't rev it till you know it's fully engaged and sits a minute or 2 like that.
