Decided to go with the Quick Performance http://www.quickperformance.com/Ford-8- ... _p_39.html Mike is a great guy to work with and they went the extra mile to ship my differential so I would have it this weekend. A beautifully built piece and I got it with the 3.25 gear set. It was the pinion bearing as the main problem but I guess it's a good thing it went out when it did. When I pulled the passenger brake drum, 90wt poured out and the whole workings were covered in thick black oil. Shoes had disintegrated and axle seal was totally shot. The U-joints on the drive shaft were about to explode also. Only a matter of time before I'd lost the drive shaft and the brakes totally. Decided to go ahead and replace the axle bearings while I had them out. Local shop was open yesterday and pressed them off/on for me in a couple of hours. Got the chunk stabbed and axle housing seals replaced. Had to order the rear U-joint and brake hardware kit. They'll be in today about 3pm. Hopefully I'll have her back on the road tonight!

Back on the road at last! Everything seems to be working well and she really likes the 3.25 gears. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and advice! :fr:
