Love your jeep. Brings back memories I have from high school (1973). My buddy got an old Willy's and we removed the many coats of paint and actually got down to the original star. My buddy taught me how to drive with that jeep.

Looks like it was meant to be there all along. Nothing sounds like a Flathead Ford V8, would love listening to those pipes while easing through some mountain trails!

I love this rig I am currently dreaming of doing this with my 1954 flat head v8 from my M350 Mercury.
Now I just need the right Willys truck or Jeep cheap to install it in.

Is your air cleaner mount the style they used on the C.O.E. trucks?
Its been so long since i've seen one i don't remember what they look like.

Hard to find much that fits under the hood with the V-8 in it, but I'm always looking. I've also added two extra jeeps to my "Projects" line, a 47 and a 51. Plan on 2.3L Fords in both.two-bit wrote:Just looked at this. I know its an old post.
