Shaking really bad in 3rd and 4th gear

Post by Aurelio Landeros »

First and foremost hey guys hows it going. secondly i have ran into some problems with the truck. it hasn't done this since I've been driving dirt roads but last week i took the truck for a ride down a paved road and i went through first gear to second gear shifted int third and the truck began to shake i keep accelerating and shift to fourth gear and it is still shaking i was thinking maybe carrier bearing i don't think its the rear end or the gear box. the gear box is fine and worked perfectly fine before i put it back in. Any help guys?

Put it on jack stands, let it idle in fourth gear and see what's going on under the truck. Naturally don't get under it and make sure it's stable in the air before doing it. Also having a 'victim' in the truck to shut if off in case things go sideways is a good idea too.
