All,
I dove into my rear hubs today, hoping to install new drums and shoes, and replace my bearings and races at the same time. I ran out of time, so I'm still using the old bearings. The brand is Bower USA. Anyone know anything about them? I will be replacing them with Timken when I get a chance, but for now, I'll stay with the Bowers. Good, bad, other?

Bower has been around for a long time.
Just a few years ago, I was installing some Timken bearings. On the outside of one of the Timken boxes, it said "Made in Japan." On the other Timken box, it said "Made in China." Timken is no longer made only in America.

Well that is REALLY good information! 
This whole place has run on Timken bearings for as long as I can remember. I will be watching from now on and I too will make the move to Bowers.

Yup, lotsa' name-brand things that you could always trust have changed quite a bit the past few years. My experiences with the quality of made in China bearings, regardless of what name-brand is on the box, has either been good or absolutely awful.

Bower/BCA is an old name brand of excellent quality.
1967 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
Another 67 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
2016 F-150 Eco-Boost 2.7 liter. (It will smoke the tires!)
1972 F-350 Sport Custom cab & chassis.
1972 F-250 Explorer Special, Camper Special.
1971 F-100 custom. 302, C-4, p.s. p.b. factory 65 amp alternator with transistorized voltage regulator.
