clutch / brake pedal grommets (mystery part#)

Post by mjmoog68 »

Clutch and Brake pedals mechanics. 68 Ford F100

Noticed a lot of play in the clutch and brake pedals. I ordered new bushing from LMCTruck. I got the whole assembly out and was shocked to see how worn out everything was. In the bracket where the clutch/brake mount the grommets are completely worn through in fact worn down the bracket too. I can not find the parts I need anywhere so I am reaching out to the community for help.

In the bracket there are two grommets that hold the thin plastic bushings. I need to buy two new grommets, but can not find a part # anywhere. The drawings here on fordification show the part# for the bushing but the actual piece I need is greyed out and drawn with dotted line.

The part 2471 slides into these mystery parts. Also the drawing shows part 01508 this mystery part is attached to.

There used to be a guy on eBay that sold a bearing repair for the mustang guys and they fit our trucks. Search Robroys build in the projects sub section for the details. I think they require some welding but it's not a big deal and is a pretty good repair.
