No, they're different. The standard core's outlets go out into the engine compartment, whereas the A/C setup's heater core outlets exit downward.

Yep and I have a really good heater core here if anyone needs it. Like I said, I just priced them and they are around $50 now. If you need it, this will save you a bunch.

Ok, I went today and got some craft foam that is 2 mm thick. About 1/8 in. Also, I got some glue called E-Goo. It seems to be working out great. I have only done one door so far. There are actually 3 doors that will need it for it to seal and vent right.

Well, it looks like it is going to work great. I was wrong on the glue, it is called E-6000. Good stuff so far. Here are a few pics of the new doors.

Yep, here too. I don't have it back together yet. Since my promotion I haven't had the time and now that the beast is dead, might be a little longer. Right now the engine is on 4 shelves. It's not a pretty site.

Be careful John! Three years ago, I thought "hey! I'll put a serpentine belt system on this old 460 and then get a aftermarket AC system. WHILE I'M AT IT, I might as well put on a performer intake and a edelbrock carb". When I pulled the dizzy to put on the intake, I pulled the oil pump driveshaft out of the oil pump. If fell into the pan and I never knew it. I put on the serpentene system (from a 97 E350), thought hey this is cool, cranked her up w/ her new intake and carb. My inspection had gone out a two months earlier, so I start driving to my buddy's shop to get inspected. It is up the highway a little, but I kept it on the feeder road because the new brackets were making a little bit of noise. I thought I had one a little loose. Yeah, that "bracket" started getting really loud. I made it about 4 miles and then boom! That was three years ago. My truck has a new 460 and was finally started up about a week ago. I'm still working on tuning issues.

Yep, I added factory AC to my 69 several years ago. It does require some patience but it's well worth the effort. I does replace all current heater equipment and you should have the AC/heat controls that goes in the dash as well. I bought 3 units and still have one left in good shape.

It was fairly easy to do just time consuming. Ford made provisions for this for each truck that came down the assembly line, such as dimples in the firewall for hose routing, bolt holes, etc.

Hey Keith, got any good front main covers left over??? Mine got here today and got mashed by UPS... they really had to drop it hard, as it was packed well, and they broke the heavy stuff!!

OUCH! Well, both of my parts units had good cases except for the inevitable broken fins on the front vent....but I ended up breaking one of them as I was dismantling it. The other still has the broken fins (maybe 4 or 5) but is still completely assembled. It would probably be OK if you were to epoxy a couple fins from yours onto mine....if you were to do it on the back it would be almost invisible.

How soon would you need it? I'm just asking because I'm not sure when I could get an afternoon to get it completely stripped down for you.
